Wyld Church is an experiment in sacred pop-up gatherings open to all people interested in experiencing Something Greater together in the great outdoors. The gatherings themselves are neither religious nor pagan, but the people who attend can be both, either, or neither.

Our gatherings are informal, crowdsourced, and will likely include some spoken (poetry, myth or storytelling), and some unspoken (walking, listening, breathing) alongside the land, water, skies, flora and fauna of the land that holds each gathering.

Modern life keeps us distracted and addicted to our distractions. Many of us crave another approach to life and yearn for a community that is interested in Something Greater.

Wyld Church offers pop-up opportunities where people and Something Greater (maybe Life Force, maybe God or gods, maybe Spirit, maybe something else or nothing else?) can co-create an experience. What happens when the elements of people and place come together to listen and be? What new languages or ways to communicate will we learn or create?

Your presence and the presence of the land and the elements during each gathering will change the alchemy of what is possible. Everyone and everything will get to choose what participation means to them. Some may prefer to watch and listen, some may prefer to give voice to poem or word or song, some may bring questions, some may offer a perspective, some may want to give and some may need to receive.

Kindness and openness to other people, and other perspectives are fundamental to our gatherings. Wyld Church is a safe and inclusive space where genuine, empathetic, curiosity to the unfamiliar or uncomfortable or new can be explored - it is not a place for debate or argument or dogma. Children and animals who are able to be a part of a group gathering without much distraction are welcome.
